Taking off from my question yesterday: could you teach a class where you had to do so much prep that the students are basically just glueing the items together?

If you are doing a quality project class you have to do a lot of the prep work before class. So yes I would and have taught classes in that manner. If you don't prep all you have is a line of people waiting for the next step and getting irritated at you or the store owner because their class mates are not up to speed and they want to move on. That being said, If you are teaching a technique to go into your project, you need to let the students do the technique, regardless how upset the speedy ones get. How do they learn if you do it for them.

Yes I have enjoyed classes like that I also have done it the other way too. Depends the class and the instructor
