Good Morning!
Am working on reducing our photos to ones we really want, starting with iPhoto. So far I have erased almost 4,000 over the course of the summer. Some friends from church told me that they try to keep only 25% of the photos they take.
Could you do that? Could you erase a majority of the photos you take?

No not sure I could. I have tried to eliminate those that are out of focus etc, but others I just can't.

Well don't know if I could. I tried to get rid of the blurry ones like Pat, but for the most part I keep everything I just don't print them off

As I download the pictures from my Camera or phone I remove the blurry ones and ones where I snapped the foot, ground or whatever because I have snappy fingers. The rest I leave until I start working on that event, then I move the ones that I print to CD/DVD. The rest I leave until the project is done. You never know when you need a filler picture. Then I move all the remaining pictures to the same CD and put in the back of the scrapbook I am working on. It helps with the clutter factor and lord only knows I need help.

Wow, Mary! You include the CD in the back of the finished book?!?! I bow to your superior wisdom and skills.

I do Debi. Not because I am super organized it is out of necessity. I don't know how many times I searched for pictures that people wanted copies of and could remember where they were. The other event that caused me anguish was the crash of my computer and all the pictures that were on it. Luckily I had negatives, cards and a back up drive which was not backed up very well. I got most back but I know there are a few that are gone forever. Now at least I have something should anything like that happen again.
