Watercolors: We will use watercolors to (1) paint on the stamp and emboss, (2) use the basic watercolor techniques (wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, feathering, and dry brush to create a landscape and realistic flowers and leaves and (3) watercolor techniques to create paper that can be used for paper piecing.
Bleach: We'll use bleach, watercolors, and Tim Holtz stains to create unusual images. We'll create Texas Limestone, combine watercolors and bleach as well as make tags using the stains and bleach.
Instructor Bio: Joyce Meyer, BFA in art from University of North Texas, MA in art education from SMU, art teacher in the public schools (McKinney, Plano, and Eanes ISD) for a total of 21 years. Designer of JAM'n Stamps.
Supplies needed by students (pre-packed supply kits will be available at Remember When):
Bleach class:
Prang watercolors
Synthetic round brush (size 6 or 8)
Pigment ink pad (I prefer black)
Clear embossing powder
Watercolor class: Prang Watercolors Synthetic round brush size 6 or 8
Watercolor paper 90lb or 100 Clear embossing powder
Heat gun *will not be included in pre-packs but will be available for seperate purchase
Each class is $33 and must be pre-paid to reserve your spot. The first class will begin shortly after 10 a.m. The second class will begin at 2:00 p.m.
